World Extreme Cagefighting® General Manager Reed Harris announced today that newcomer Will Kerr (8-1) will replace the injured Alex Karalexis on Nov. 18 at The Palms Casino in Las Vegas. With Karalexis out due to a hand injury, Kerr will take on fellow WEC rookie Kamal Shalorus (4-0-1).
“This is the perfect opportunity for two blossoming lightweights to make an instant impact in the WEC,” Harris said. “Both of these guys believe that they can one day contend for the lightweight title. On Nov. 18, we’ll find out which fighter moves one step closer to achieving that goal.”
