WEC ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO OCT. 10 CARD

Sep-24-2009

World Extreme Cagefighting® announced today three changes to the Oct. 10 card slated for the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Texas resident and rising bantamweight Will Campuzano (6-0) will replace Akitoshi Tamura and take on the hard-hitting Damacio Page (11-4). Campuzano looks to make an immediate impact when he takes on the Greg Jackson-trained Page in his home state.

In addition, Noah Thomas, a participant of season five of The Ultimate Fighter™, has agreed to take on WEC veteran Scott Jorgensen (6-3) in bantamweight action. Thomas (13-5) replaces Rafael Rebello, who suffered an injury in training camp and is unable to compete.

Lastly, veteran Javier Vazquez (13-3) will fill the void left by the injured Mark Hominick and face WEC newcomer Deividas Taurosevicius (10-3). Vazquez lost a close decision to LC Davis in August and seeks his first win in the WEC.
