Fighter Biography

Training: Light run in the morning and then two training sessions a day

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training at the age of 16. Back in those days it more just to benefit me in street fights. (Laughs)

What ranks and titles have you held?
2007: RingRulers Arklatex Bantamweight amateur champion. 2008: RingRulers Grand Prix  amateur champion

Do you have any heroes?
Not really, just people I look up to.

What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC? It’s a huge accomplishment!

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
Did all my basics and then dropped out as soon as I turned pro!

What was your job before you started fighting?
Electronics

Most memorable professional fight (who, where, why)? Don’t have one yet!

What was your most challenging professional fight (against who, when, what was the outcome)?
In the Brian Goldsby fight I was very sick with a lung infection; however, I still fought and won in the second round via triangle choke.

Did you compete in any other sport(s)?
I never did any sports growing up.

Who were your training partners for this fight?
Adi, Ross, and Eliazar

Did you put more emphasis towards a fighting style or adjust your training to prepare for your opponent (what did you do differently/why)?
I train the same for every fight

What, other than WINNING, are you using for motivation for the fight?
I really want to show my true potential this time around.

The fans
