Fighter Biography

When and why did you start training for fighting? 2005. I started training in my garage because I like to fight.

What ranks and titles have you held?
None yet - till Miguel Torres and I stare across the cage at each other!

Do you have any heroes?
My brothers who are both serving our country. Thomas “Wildman” Denny, my coach.

What is your favorite technique?
Whatever it takes to win.

What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC?
It has been a goal of mine to fight the best fighters out there and the WEC has it. Not only do I want to fight in the WEC more then anything, but I want to be competitive in there with the best.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
I went to the army and went to school while I was in. I have the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree. I’m a Computed Tomography Technologist.

What was your job before you started fighting?
Computed Tomography Technologist

Who were your training partners for this fight?
My main training partners were Rick Legere and Dave Esquibel.

Did you put more emphasis towards a fighting style or adjust your training to prepare for your opponent?
I trained more on my hands than I usually do. Not specifically for this fight but because I think my hands suck.

What, other than WINNING, are you using for motivation for the fight?
The competition - I beat Frank, that puts me higher up the ladder.
