Fighter Biography

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training about two years ago because I like to train and test myself and also because I love competing.

What ranks and titles have you held?
Masters of the cage 145lb champ
4X NCAA division 2 national champion

Do you have any heroes?
None

What is your favorite technique?
Ground and pound

What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC?
It means a lot.  This is exactly where I wanted to fight since I started training.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
I went to University of Central Oklahoma.  I have two degrees - a bachelors and a master’s degree

What was your job before you started fighting?
I work for a medical company in Oklahoma City

Most memorable professional fight?  Diego Nunes because it was my WEC debut and my only loss

What was your most challenging professional fight?
Again, Diego I lost, he had a good gameplan and he is a talented fighter

Wrestling my whole life, 4X national champion at University of Central Oklahoma

Who were your training partners for this fight?
Jared Hess was my main training partner. I also train with Matt Grice

Did you put more emphasis towards a fighting style or adjust your training to prepare for your opponent?
I focus on what I am going to do. Everything always changes once the cage door shuts, so I like to develop a game plan and do my best to stick to it during the fight.

My family and friends, and everyone that helps and supports me.

What is your favorite thing about this sport?
One on One combat with another man
