Training: Training twice a day mixed between stand up, wrestling, jiu jitsu, and conditioning.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve been involved in martial arts my whole life. Met Shawn Tompkins when I was 13 and knew this is what I wanted to do. The rest is history.
What ranks and titles have you held? No titles in MMA.
Do you have any heroes? Ray Sefo and Shawn Tompkins
What is your favorite technique? The KO!
What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC? Being part of one of the premier organizations in the world.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I was studying to be a paramedic.
What was your job before you started fighting? Student
Most memorable professional fight (who, where, why)? My MMA debut, 6 days after my 18th birthday. I finally was where I wanted to be for so many years.
What was your most challenging professional fight (against who, when, what was the outcome)? Two wars with Bart Palaszewski in the IFL. Two victories by decision.
Did you compete in any other sport(s) at college or professional level (what sport, where, how long)? No
Who were your training partners for this fight? All of the fighters and coaches at the Adrenaline Training Center in London, Ontario and the Tapout Training Center in Las Vegas, with all my training being overseen by head coach Shawn Tompkins.
Did you put more emphasis towards a fighting style or adjust your training to prepare for your opponent (what did you do differently/why)? In between fights I try to improve all areas of game and strengthen my weaknesses. When camp begins for my opponent I prepare specifically for that opponent.
